November 20th, 2010

On November 20th, 2010 I married my best friend!  I didn't have my blog at this point, so I wanted to create a wedding post to capture all our favorite pictures!

Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed every minute!  We had THE best time with all our family and friends who helped us celebrate!  All the pictures below are property of our amazing photographer, Kelli of Clever Creations Photography.

Kelli is a good friend of Brandon's family and flew all the way down from Michigan to capture our wedding!  I still can't get enough of these :)  It's picture overload so beware and enjoy!

Getting Ready :)

My Memaw's garter :)

Gettin' all laced up and jeweled!

We got ready at the Holiday Inn Center City in downtown Charlotte!  My sweet friend Kailey came to do our hair!

We're going to the Chapel!!  Our ceremony was at Grace on Brevard, an awesome old restored church off 4th and Brevard.

The higher the hair, the closer to God right!? :)

My GORGEOUS bridesmaids!

How cute are they!?!  They seem so little in these pics!

Almost time!  Just a quick toast :)

His first look

Me and my Daddy

My Uncle Mark was our pastor and officiated our wedding!

We're MARRIED!!!

Casey & Ashley

My immediate family (minus baby Wells!)

With the MIL

With the FIL

My GINORMOUS family!!  All those that were able to make it anyway :)

B's family all the way from Michigan!

After pictures at the church, we took the party bus around downtown for some priceless shots!

Such handsome men!

Our reception was at the Big Chill!  Our night was perfection, the food was amazing, and the friends, family and dancing were even better!!

Now it's already been a year (as of this Sunday)!!!  I guess time flies when you're living the dream with your best friend!  That's how the saying goes right!? :)

And we live happily ever after!!

Dreams Do Come True!

So just in my very last post, I was dreaming and drooling over Dyson Vacuums and Louis Vuitton bags on my Champagne Christmas List.  And while I didn't get the vacuum or Louis Vuitton bag, I did snag one beauty off the list over the weekend!!

Saturday morning B and I drove 18 exits up 85 to the lovely town of Concord, also the new home to my bro and SIL :)  The boys had a golf date while Gale and I had a shopping date!

We picked up some paint samples from Lowe's then headed over to Concord Mills for a bit of outlet shopping.  Low and behold, after browsing through Banana Republic for a bit, a fabulous little black blazer was hanging right on the rack just waiting for me.  Oh and it was 50% off!

This isn't the exact blazer....it was a Banana outlet so I couldn't find the exact match online

Gale also had an email for an additional 30% off which she forwarded to me.  So, I saved over 70 bucks and got it for a whopping $38!!!  That is a deal to celebrate I feel =)  I guess dreams really do come true!

Saturday night, I slipped on my new blazer with some skinny jeans and pumps for a little date night with my man!  We weren't really sure where we were headed for dinner so we just strolled around downtown until we found somewhere without a ridiculous wait.

We ate at Aria Tuscan Grill and it was delish!!!  Sadly I didn't take any pics :(

After dinner we stopped by Crave, a dessert bar dangerously close to our apartment building! Literally, it's right outside our complex door and their desserts are amazing!

We indulged in s'mores!  This is how you do s'mores in the city I guess  :)

Sunday we slept in, worked out, ran a few errands, and watched the Panther's get slaughtered. It's unspeakable really.

We hit up a few furniture stores Sunday afternoon to look for the nightstand that matches our bedroom suit.  When B and I got married, his bedroom suit became our bedroom suit and it only consisted of one nightstand.  Wife wants the matching nightstand :)

We found it at one store, but found it cheaper online so I ordered it tonight!  I'm looking forward to having a drawer to hold my emergency carmex and a place to rest a coaster and my bedside water.  Priorities!  Oh and having a more complete bedroom suit :)

Today was a Monday.  BLEHH....but at least is over!!

4 more work days til our Asheville Anniversary get away!!!

And only 6 more school days until Thanksgiving Break!!!!

Can I get an amen!?

A Girl Can Dream...

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!!!

Thank you, thank you to all the Veteran's who have served and all those currently serving!  I am forever grateful and indebted to you!!

I'm so thankful for my freedom and all the sacrifices our soldiers and their families have made, but I'm also REALLY thankful....

....for a day off!!  :)

In between a laundry list of chores and cleaning, the Today Show, The View, etc.....I plan to paint my toe nails and do a little online Christmas shopping!! Well more like browsing....

My mom, Brandon, Brandon's family, my family....they've all asked what I want for Christmas.  And I keep saying "I don't really know...I don't know what I want."  But as I've been browsing today, I've realized not knowing what I want is not actually the problem.

You see there are actually a lot of things I want.....

but the problem is home girl has Champagne taste and a beer budget.  =(

Haha, I can find TONS of things I want, but they're all, ahem, hundreds of dollars, rather expensive and irrational requests for Christmas gifts.

But a girl can dream, so just for fun, here is....

My Champagne Christmas List

A KitchenAid Stand Mixer

I could whip up some fabulous things with this bad boy!  It was on our wedding registry, but sadly, never got bought :(

The Dyson Animal Vacuum

Do you know the insane amounts of Benson hair (and Michelle hair, I shed SO much!) I could pick up with this sucker!?!
I don't.  :(  But I'd love to try!

A Louis Vuitton Bag

I told Brandon if anyone ever offers him a free Louis Vuitton Bag tell them the Speedy 35 or Galleria GM would look fabulous on his wife's arm!!  This gift alone will require a large savings fund :) no, really!

A Gorgeous Fall/Winter Blazer

I've been wanting a good blazer to add as a staple to my wardrobe.  These beauties are from Banana Republic.

A David Yurman Ring

Oh David, how I would love to wear you.  Every day.  As a beautiful addition to my lonely right hand.  The left hand gets the weddings rings, the right hand needs some love, too right!?

Ok I'm getting carried away.  MUST. STOP. NOW.  I'm off to finish more chores before this list starts to cost more than our entire house fund ;)

Happy Friday friends!!!

Lovin' It

The CMAs are on tonight and I am LOVIN' IT y'all!!!  I love country music, it's my favorite! It's in my blood after all!  :)

Carrie Underwood's legs are smokin' and she and Brad Paisley have some good writers are pretty funny!!  No, but really, I love all the performances and seeing all the artists!  And Luke Bryan can shake it for me anytime!  ;)

Anyways....I'm also LOVIN' this week and this time of year!  So so much to look forward to and celebrate!!

For instance, 1 more school day this week and then a 3 day weekend!!  That makes me super happy!!

This sweet thang has been crawling in my lap every evening and nestling in my hair :)  I think he's cold, haha.  We haven't turned the heat on yet so I just layer up and sit under a blanket!  And we LOVE that cheap power bill!

Not this weekend, but next, we'll be celebrating our 1 year anniversary in ASHEVILLE!!!  Are you serious!?  Where did the year go??  I'm so excited to visit Asheville & take Brandon to visit the Biltmore during their Candlelight Christmas Evening Tours!  Hello Christmas card :)  We're going to shop around downtown Asheville, visit the Biltmore winery, tour the house, etc.  SO, SO excited!

Around our anniversary, I thought I'd post some of my favorite wedding pics on the ol' blog since I hadn't started it yet this time last year.  I just love looking back through our photo book :)

After our Asheville trip, I'm down to 2 work days until THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!

And Thanksgiving break brings family, fellowship, good food, Christmas decorations, Christmas shopping, parties, ugly sweaters, eeeeeee!!!!  I'm LOVIN' IT :)

The trees are gorgeous shades of red, yellow, and orange here and I'll be getting a skinny Peppermint Mocha tomorrow morning to round out my 4 day work week and welcome the 3 day weekend!

Hope you're lovin' your week, too!
